A food drive will be held Friday and Saturday in honor of late police officer Blake Snyder’s birthday. Mustache March 4 PD is sponsoring the drive which will be held at Alton Physical Therapy in Upper Alton and the goal is to collect 41-hundred pounds of food for Snyder’s 41st birthday on November 7th. Food collected will primarily go to the food pantry at the Alton Boys and Girls Club as well as other local pantries. Non-perishable food items can be dropped off from 3-6pm Friday and from 9am to noon on Saturday at Alton Physical Therapy at 3550 College Avenue. The group will also have games, raffles and birthday treat bags for kids who stop by during the drop off times in celebration of Snyder. Officer Snyder was a Godfrey native who was killed in the line of duty in south St. Louis County in 2016. Mustache March 4 PD was formed in his honor to raise money for local police departments and other community needs.
